A New Kind of Robot

FOX News reported a really neat new kind of robot unveiled by Pentagon Researchers. It looks like something out of a science fiction movie. It's half solid and half liquid. It has the ability to change not only its shape, but also has the ability to change it's consistency. It does this by a process called "jamming". "Jamming is simply introducing air into a membrane that's filled with particulate matter— BBs, if you will. The plan is that this robot would go where other robots can't go, because it can change from a solid to a liquid-like state." They are hoping that this will one day save lives out in the battlefield.

I hope you all were able to catch the footage on television of the lunar blast. The blast wasn't as impressive as expected, but they are optimistic that they will prove there is water. They will take samples and analyze them. This is definitely exciting news!!

Good News About the Swine Flu

(Oct. 8, 2009) This strain of flu was actually a milder one compared to the seasonal influenza that makes its way each year. Although the vaccine is limited at the moment, they expect few people will actually get it. Good news is that there will be plenty for those who want it anyway.
